The floor was covered with carpets, allowing people to lie down, sit cross-legged, lean against walls or find a chair and read however they wanted. The soundtrack was built around ambient and electronic music, with the volume gradually rising later in the afternoon, at which point people could either keep reading or, yes, dance. There was also a book-exchange element, while organisers offered recommended novels for people who wanted to read the same book as everyone else.
