The government had brought forward the payment of September salaries, wages and pensions for central government employees and pensioners in view of the proposed strike. An office memorandum issued by the Controller General of Accounts said September payments could be released on Friday, September 25, instead of the normal schedule, with any necessary adjustment to be made from October 2026 salary or wages. The arrangement covered central government employees and pensioners, including personnel associated with Defence, Posts and Telecommunications.
