Bijal Sudhir Shah made history by becoming the first female winner of Anil Kapoor-hosted India Ke Top 1%. She walked away with Rs 94 lakh after taking on challenges that tested her knowledge, decision-making, reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Unlike conventional quiz shows that focus on memorisation, the new format rewards common sense, quick thinking and composure under pressure. Bijal participated in the competition alongside her husband and emerged victorious. In an exclusive chat, she opened up about the big win and what she plans to do with the money.
Bijal Sudhir Shah On Winning India Ke Top 1%
India Ke Top 1% winner Bijal Sudhir Shah told Telly Talk India, “It is a very proud moment. We are still in disbelief. We cannot believe that this has actually happened. When I went there, I had no idea that I would come out as the winner, so it still feels very unreal. But we are definitely very happy, extremely proud and very grateful.”
She continued, “Honestly, if you ask me, my father passed away recently, so I kept thinking about him throughout this journey. I feel that whatever is happening is all a little bit of magic, and it is not because of me but because of his blessings. I also have a young son, and I feel I won because of the love of my father and my son.”
India Ke Top 1% Prize Money
Bijal has won Rs 94 lakh. Talking about the cash prize, she said, “The prize money is definitely huge, but what is even bigger is the fact that I won on such a huge platform, in front of Anil Kapoor ji, competing against 100 contestants. That was an amazing feeling.”
When asked what she plans to do with it, she shared, “I have a son, so we will save the money for his college education and also travel a little. I have been involved in philanthropic work for quite some time, so we will continue doing some social service. I provide career counselling to underprivileged children. God has given me so much, so I want to give back to society.”
