The BCCI has chosen to host the IPL 2027 auction in India, which is the opposite of the recent trend of hosting it overseas in the last few years, sources close to the development told Times Now. This was one of the main decisions from Tuesday’s (September 15) IPL Governing Council meeting. The event has been held abroad in recent years, with Dubai, Jeddah, and Abu Dhabi hosting the successive editions after the 2023 auction in Kochi. But this time, the BCCI has decided to hold an IPL mini-auction in India.
