Brendan Taylor has created history and etched his name in the record books by overtaking Sachin Tendulkar to become the player with the longest ODI career. Taylor, who made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2004, has been active in ODI cricket for 22 years and 148 days. Sachin had an ODI career which lasted 22 years and 91 days. Taylor achieved the milestone during the first ODI of the three-match series against Australia in Harare on Tuesday (September 15). The Zimbabwe legend is playing his 208th ODI. He has scored 6704 runs in 205 innings he has played thus far. His tally includes 11 centuries and 39 half-centuries.
