A major police operation is underway in Germany after drone parts were discovered in an uninhabited open area east of Lake Steinhude, around one kilometer from the German Armed Forces’ Wunstorf military airbase in Lower Saxony. The State Criminal Police Office (LKA) said the drone crashed in the open area, with numerous officers searching the site for additional debris. The German Armed Forces confirmed the proximity of the crash site to the airbase.
