The Parishad also alleged that the inventory committee formed to preserve and verify the temple’s assets has completed its tenure long ago, no verification has been carried out since, and no election to the management committee has been held since 2014, despite its tenure being five years as prescribed by the Supreme Court. “People donate to the Goddess, not to any specific individual. Why should there be no accounting for that money?” the family asked, adding that if they do not get a response from the Supreme Court, they will file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).
