While China may be an unfamiliar land for visiting players, Tanvi is no stranger to the conditions, having started playing badminton in the city of Kunshan while living there with her parents. She received her early coaching from Chinese coaches Jiang Yong Yi, Zhang Lei and Wu, helping her build a strong foundation before returning to India in 2020.
