The dress is now heading to auction at Sotheby’s in New York, with an estimate of $150,000 to $300,000. Cut from black silk crepe, it features a criss-crossing pleated bodice, an off-the-shoulder neckline and a diagonally draped, figure-hugging chiffon skirt with a flowing, side-swept train.
