Dismissing claims of answer sheet evaluation by AI, the Bihar Public Service Commission, through its ‘X’ handle, clarified that the copies of the Integrated 70th Combined (Written) Competitive Examination were evaluated by independent and experienced academicians through On-Screen Marking (OSM).
The commission also outlined the data security measures and checks in place during OSM.
According to the commission, the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system has been in operation since January 2023. Under this system, the answer sheets of the 67th, 68th and 69th Combined (Main) Competitive Examinations were evaluated.
It also highlighted that, as per the predetermined criteria, independent, reputed, scholarly and experienced professors/academicians from prestigious universities of the country, over a period of four months, evaluated the answer sheets of the Integrated 70th Combined (Written) Competitive Examination through On-Screen Marking.

The Commission rejected the hoaxes circulating on social media, terming them “completely imaginary and made with the intention of confusing/misleading candidates.”
BPSC also clarified that the data related to On-Screen Marking is securely stored on the Commission’s servers and the Disaster Recovery Server is also maintained at secure locations as per the prescribed standards.
It further stated that adequate checks and balances have been put in place to prevent irregularities during the On-Screen Marking process. A digital trail of all data is securely maintained.
The commission reiterated that the claims of unauthorised tampering with the data and answer sheets are completely baseless, fabricated, and imaginary.
It also advised the candidates to use their own discretion and judgment regarding such irresponsible and baseless claims circulating on social media.
