A 5 km Forest Walk Every Day: Maharashtra Teacher’s 13-Year Journey to Teach One Student

As reported by PTI, for the past 13 years, the 55-year-old teacher has been walking daily to Kawaltek Dhangarwada, a remote hamlet in Gaganbawada taluka, located near the Maharashtra Sindhudurg border. The village has no electricity, and the school itself is inaccessible by road, lying nearly 2.5 km away from the nearest motorable point.
