Dacia has revealed the second-generation Spring EV in Europe and Renault Group’s shared-platform strategy makes it the closest preview yet of India’s rumoured Renault Kwid EV. The new Spring rides on Renault Group’s RG-EV small-car platform, gets a wider body, a bigger battery as well as a longer range than its predecessor. Test mules resembling the Spring have been spied on Indian roads over the past year though Renault has not confirmed the Kwid EV’s specifications. Until it does, the Spring’s numbers are the best real-world reference point for what an India-bound electric Kwid could carry.
