This comes a few days after a similar incident took place in Karnataka’s Bagalkot district on September 2, 2026 (Wednesday). The concrete roof of a government school collapsed while classes were underway at Mugallolli Tanda in Karnataka’s Bagalkot district. This incident left six students injured, officials said. Following the incident, the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department (PRED) was directed to immediately repair the damaged portion of the school building, Bagalkot Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Gajanan Bale said in a statement.
