TCS iON on Monday said internal power failures disrupted the conduct of the NEET-PG 2026 and AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination (AIIMS CRE) at a single examination centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The company said the disruption occurred at the iDZ Sitapura centre on both days of the examinations.
According to TCS iON, the NEET-PG 2026 examination was conducted on Saturday for more than 2.63 lakh candidates across 1,111 centres. The AIIMS CRE, conducted on Sunday, was held for more than 21,000 candidates across 58 centres.
“During both these exams, a single centre, the iDZ Sitapura centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan, experienced internal power failures over both days,” TCS iON said in a statement.
The company attributed the disruption to what it described as “unknown local electrical issues”. It said the issue was limited to the single examination centre and that teams have been working to address the problem.
Expert Team Deployed To Resolve Issue
TCS iON said an expert team from the vendors responsible for electrical maintenance has been deployed at the centre to resolve the issue on an urgent basis. The company added that measures are being implemented to ensure that such disruptions do not recur during future examinations.
The development comes as concerns over the smooth conduct of large-scale computer-based examinations continue to remain significant, given the large number of candidates appearing at examination centres across the country.
TCS iON also expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to candidates who were appearing for NEET-PG 2026 and AIIMS CRE at the affected Jaipur centre.
“We deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused to the candidates undertaking the NEET-PG 2026 exam and AIIMS CRE at the centre,” the company said.
The examination technology provider further said it is coordinating with the respective authorities to ensure that candidates affected by the disruption are able to complete their examinations at the earliest.
