DUTA has argued that the additional year has increased the responsibilities of faculty members, particularly in areas such as teaching, supervision, assessment and academic mentoring. According to the teachers’ body, the expansion has not been accompanied by adequate manpower or infrastructure to manage the additional academic requirements.
