The NEET PG 2026 examination was successfully conducted today for more than 2.63 lakh candidates across 1,111 centres nationwide. However, the NEET PG examination could not be completed at two centres in Jaipur due to an internal power failure.
The affected centres are iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura, Jaipur (TC Nos. 41682 and 41683). Candidates appearing at these centres were unable to complete the examination as scheduled following the power disruption.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has now announced a re-examination for all candidates affected by the incident.
NEET PG 2026 Re-Exam On September 5
The re-examination will be conducted on September 5, 2026 (Saturday), at 3 PM in Jaipur, NBEMS said.
Further details regarding the examination venue and revised Admit Cards will be shared separately by the board. Affected candidates are advised to keep checking official NBEMS communications for updates regarding the re-examination.
The decision to hold a fresh examination comes after the technical disruption at the two Jaipur centres prevented candidates from completing the NEET PG 2026 test.
NBEMS To Review Jaipur Centre Power Failure
Following the incident, NBEMS has called an immediate meeting to decide the course of action against the technological partner and the agency responsible for ensuring adequate infrastructure at the examination centres.
The board will review the circumstances surrounding the power failure and determine the action to be taken against the agencies responsible for the technology and infrastructure arrangements at the affected centres.
NEET PG is conducted nationally for admission to postgraduate medical courses. This year’s examination was held across 1,111 centres for more than 2.63 lakh candidates.
For candidates affected at the two Jaipur centres, the September 5 re-examination at 3 PM will provide an opportunity to complete the examination. Details of the venue and revised Admit Cards will be issued separately by NBEMS.
