Toxic had a spectacular opening on Wednesday, August 26, collecting Rs 101.10 crore net in India across 24,579 shows on its very first day. The Hindi version has emerged as the biggest contributor, bringing in Rs 55 crore on Day 1. This made it one of the biggest openers of the year, riding on huge advance bookings and Yash’s massive fan following. However, on Day 2 (Thursday), the film saw a sharp crash in its collections, earning around Rs 22.08 crore net, as per Sacnilk. This translates to a drop of over 75 per cent compared to its opening day numbers. The Hindi version suggests earnings of Rs 23-25 crore, taking its two-day Hindi total to Rs 75 crore approx.
