As per her statement, at around midnight on April 6-7, they were walking along the beach discussing investments and work. At around 12:30 am on April 7, the accused allegedly asked her to walk into the sea. She said she trusted him and accompanied him into the water, where he allegedly pulled her towards him, forcibly kissed and touched her and sexually assaulted her despite resistance.
