Mumbai woke up to light pre-monsoon showers on Wednesday (June 3), bringing relief from weeks of intense heat and humidity. Rainfall was reported from several parts of the city and suburbs, including Dadar, Sion, Kurla, Mulund, Borivali, Malad and Andheri. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane and several other districts in Maharashtra, forecasting light to moderate rainfall. The alert remains in place as weather conditions continue to remain favourable for showers.
