Yamaha’s teasers so far show close-up glimpses only — a tuning-fork badge on a glossy blue tank, an R-series emblem on sharply sculpted bodywork and a hint of red LED taillamp — instead of the full motorcycle. Based on the styling direction, several reports expect the R2 to borrow design cues from Yamaha’s flagship R9 including a centrally mounted projector headlamp, slim LED DRLs and aerodynamic winglets, giving it a more modern look than the current R15.
