Devdutt Padikkal made his return to the playing XI after nearly two years and played both Tests against Sri Lanka. The left-handed batter kicked off the series with a century in Galle and followed up with another ton in Colombo. Despite scoring back-to-back tons, Padikkal isn’t confirmed to be part of the playing XI going forward. He broke his silence after his heroics in the SL series and said that “working hard” is the only thing in his control. “Again, you always want to play. You want to represent your country. You have to keep working hard,” Padikkal said.
