According to PTI sources, the clips appeared to depict several high-profile inmates with unauthorised access to electronic gadgets. In one of the videos, Umesh Reddy, a rape convict serving multiple sentences for sexual offences, was allegedly seen using an Android smartphone inside his barrack. The footage also showed a television set installed nearby, raising questions about how such devices were brought into the high-security facility.
