The reform is significant beyond UGC-NET. NTA conducts several of India’s major entrance and eligibility examinations, including NEET UG, JEE Main, CUET UG, UGC-NET and CSIR-NET. Any change in the way question papers are prepared and reviewed could therefore have a direct bearing on lakhs of candidates appearing for these examinations.
