In a concerning incident that further highlighted the ‘normalisation’ of a lack of food safety and public responsibility among restaurants, retail shops, stores and more– a popular grocery store’s worker was captured dumping “near-expiry” flour into loose containers, for further reselling purposes. The video was recorded by a man who seemingly came across the questionable act by the store’s employee. As per what was seen in the video, the flour being ‘repurposed’ had a manufacturing date of ‘May 15, 2026’, and an expiry date of ‘August 14, 2026’ on its packet.
