Tough Year For Sincaraz
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner dominated the courts last year, winning two Grand Slams apiece. However, it’s been a different story this year. Alcaraz started the year by winning the Australian Open, but an injury to his right wrist meant that he had to sit out of the court for over four months, missing the French Open and Wimbledon. Alcaraz, however, is all set to return to the US Open 2026. Sinner, meanwhile, has struggled physically. He lost to Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open after not being in peak fitness, and then made a shock second round exit at French Open, again due to fitness issues. He did win Wimbledon, but was far from his best, and with no Alcaraz, he was able to defend his title.
