Netflix’s recently released critically acclaimed show, Operation Safed Sagar, has introduced the unknown story of the Indian Air Force’s contribution to the 1999 Kargil War. The contributions of the heroes who fought the battle and their families mapped the narrative of the six-episode series. Dia Mirza plays one of the emotional anchors of the show as Wing Commander B S ‘Tony’ Dhanoa’s wife, Kamalpreet Dhanoa. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, the actress said it was an instant yes for Operation Safed Sagar. Explaining her understanding of patriotism and heroism, Dia shared that the show is a ‘gift’ for the youth.
