During a visit to India, De Niro visited Kher’s Mumbai acting academy, An Actor Prepares, where he interacted with several prominent personalities from the Hindi film industry. Their bond was also visible years later when De Niro, along with his partner Tiffany Chen, attended the New York premiere of Anupam Kher’s directorial film Tanvi The Great.
