Operation Safed Sagar celebrated the heroes of the 1999 Kargil War. The mission, initiated by the Indian Air Force to assist the Indian Army, was led by Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja, Wing Commander B S ‘Tony’ Dhanoa, Flying Officer Rajpal Singh Dhaliwal, Flying Officer C.H. Bal Reddy and Flight Lieutenant Jitendra Sangwan. The six-episode series directed by Oni Sen has been winning appreciation and acclaim from the armed forces, their families and the audience. Siddharth, who pays an honest and emotional tribute to Ajay Ahuja, received praise from the late Squadron Leader’s maternal uncle.
