While Zardari may have made this bold claim, it is to be mentioned that at the time of partition, the percentage of non-Muslim minority in Pakistan including Hindus and Sikhs accounted for between 15-20 percent. However, over the decades and subjected to persecution and atrocities, only 3-4 percent of the Hindu majority is left in Pakistan today, exposing their President’s big claims that they (Hindus) would like to stay back.
