Cody Rhodes and Oba Femi challenged Bron Breakker and Austin Theory for the World Tag Team Championship after WWE Smackdown went off the air on Friday (August 14). Since the match took place after the show, only the audience enjoyed the live action. The team comprising former WWE Champion and former NXT Champion defeated the tag team champions but the titles didn’t change hands. Under WWE rules, a title only changes hands when the challenger pins his/her opponent or forces him/her to tap out. A title doesn’t change hands even when a match ends via count-out. Hence, Breakker and Theory retained the title. A title can change hands in case of disqualification if WWE specifically mentions it before a match.
