King has powerful star cast such as Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Abhay Verma, Saurabh Shukla, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal and others in pivotal roles. The film is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 450 crore. It has been shot in Mumbai, Warsaw, Gdansk and Cape Town. It is reportedly inspired by the 1994 French film, Leon: The Professional.
