A. When an expired product reaches a consumer, the seller shall be liable for any article of food sold after the date of expiry. This is as per Section 27 of the FSS Act, 2006. Consumers can complain on FSSAI portal, if manufacturing, expiry dates are not visible. 100% pure, sudh etc. are banned as per Labelling and Display Regulations of the FSSAI. Strict action shall be taken by FSSAI for violation or misleading advertisements.
