The show recounts the crucial role played by the Indian Air Force during the Kargil War.

What Is Operation Safed Sagar All About?
Operation Safed Sagar is a six-episode Netflix series inspired by the Indian Air Force’s role in the 1999 Kargil War. The story follows the Golden Arrows squadron as its pilots take on a dangerous air mission in the high-altitude battle zone. The series focuses on Wing Commander B.S. Dhanoa, played by Jimmy Sheirgill, and Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja, portrayed by Siddharth.
As the war becomes more intense, the pilots face are faced with the difficult task of locating and destroying enemy camps at the snowy peaks. The show was made with support from the Indian Air Force and involved extensive research and consultations with veterans. It was also filmed at operational IAF bases and features real aircraft and military locations.

Siddharth has received strong appreciation for his performance as Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja in Operation Safed Sagar. The actor plays Ahuja as a calm and committed officer who sacrificed his life during the Kargil War by going above and beyond his assigned duties. Late Ajay Ahuja’s wife Alka Ahuja thanked the actors for bringing his story to life.
