India has no shortage of legendary road trips, and most people instantly think of Spiti Valley or Leh to Ladakh when the topic comes up. According to travel creator Reet Jakharia, though, one route in Arunachal Pradesh belongs in that same conversation and has somehow stayed under the radar for far too long. In his reel, he calls the Dirang to Mago drive, taken via Jung, one of the most rewarding routes in Northeast India, a journey that keeps shifting scenery from misty mountains to crystal clear lakes and roaring rivers to dense pine forest. “You’ll see snow, waterfalls, lakes and mountains. Aapko kya chahiye? Aapko sab dikhega,” he says, describing a drive that offers a little bit of everything without a single difficult hike required.
