2026 Ducati Monster: What’s New?
The old 937cc L-twin is gone, replaced by Ducati’s 890cc V2 – the same unit already doing duty in the Streetfighter V2 and Panigale V2. It makes around 111 hp of maximum power at 9,000rpm and 91.1 Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. This unit is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. Despite the extra tech, the bike’s actually 4kg lighter than before, at 175kg wet weight without fuel. One practical upside: valve clearance checks are now due every 45,000km, the longest interval a Monster has ever had, which should mean lower long-term maintenance bills.
