The Ministry of Education has rolled out the online application process for Yuva Sangam Phase VII. Interested and eligible candidates can register on the EBSB portal, with the application window remaining open until August 18, 2026.
The programme is open to individuals aged 18 to 30 years. It covers a wide group, including students from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), NSS and NYKS volunteers, young professionals, and others.
As part of the initiative, 20 selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) will serve as nodal centres. These include IITs, IIMs, Central Universities, and NITs, which will host and manage the exchange programme activities.
Exchange Programme Across Paired States
Participants chosen for the programme will take part in educational and cultural tours to their paired State or Union Territory. These visits will last between 5 and 7 days, excluding travel time.

During the exchange, participants will get direct exposure to local traditions, education systems, governance models, innovation ecosystems, industries, heritage locations, and everyday community life.
Five Thematic Pillars of the Programme
Yuva Sangam is a key youth exchange initiative led by the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. It focuses on building stronger emotional connections and deeper understanding among young people from different states and Union Territories, reinforcing the idea of “Unity in Diversity.”
The programme is built around five core themes:
- Paryatan (Tourism)
- Parampara (Traditions & Culture)
- Pragati (Development & Governance)
- Paraspar Sampark (People-to-People Connect)
- Prodyogiki (Technology & Innovation)
These pillars are aimed at giving participants a broader understanding of India’s diversity while encouraging unity, in line with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020.
The programme follows a “Whole of Government” approach, bringing together multiple ministries, departments, state governments, and partner HEIs for its execution.
Earlier phases of Yuva Sangam saw strong participation from youth across the country. Eligible candidates are encouraged to make the most of this opportunity and apply for Phase VII.
