According to the IMD, several districts are likely to witness strong winds of 40-50 kmph along with thunderstorms and heavy to very heavy rainfall. Authorities have warned that intense downpours could lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas, traffic disruptions, uprooting of trees, power outages and damage to vulnerable structures.
