August 2026 brings several SUV and EV launches worth tracking: the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift, the Mahindra Vision S concept as well as an updated Mahindra BE 6, all expected around the brand’s traditional August 15 reveal window. Most of these updates focus on cabin technology and electrified powertrains instead of ground-up redesigns, so buyers should know exactly what’s changing before assuming a bigger price jump. There is also a lot of anticipation around MG’s new ADAPT-based SUV. This matters if you’re planning a purchase around the festive season since waiting a few weeks could mean choosing between an updated model and the outgoing version at a lower price. Here’s what’s actually confirmed across these four launches.
Mahindra’s Two SUV Reveals
The Scorpio N facelift is expected to focus almost entirely on the cabin with spy shots pointing to a larger freestanding touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and dashboard controls borrowed from the Thar Roxx. Higher variants could add ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS while the existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are expected to carry over unchanged.
Separately, Mahindra is also expected to give the public its first proper look at the Vision S, a compact lifestyle SUV already spotted testing with production-spec LED headlamps, a boxy design, a flat bonnet and an externally mounted spare wheel. It’s expected to ride on Mahindra’s Nu_IQ platform and could eventually share petrol and diesel engines with the XUV 3XO, though actual production remains some way off.
The Electrified Additions
MG is expected to launch its ADAPT platform-based SUV, widely believed to be called the Hector Hawk, having already been spotted testing in both electric and plug-in hybrid form. The EV version could use a 69.2kWh battery for up to 530 km of claimed range while the plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 20.5kWh battery for roughly 125 km of electric-only range, positioning it above the current Hector in MG’s lineup.
Mahindra could also update the BE 6, on sale since late 2024 with a new triple-screen dashboard layout similar to what’s already offered on the XEV 9e and XUV 7XO, removing the current cabin’s central divider design for a more open feel. Battery and motor options are expected to stay unchanged with the update focused on the cabin rather than range or performance.
What This Means If You’re Buying Soon
None of these four models has confirmed pricing yet and most of the changes described here come from spy shots and informed expectations. If you’re specifically considering a Scorpio N or BE 6 purchase this month, it’s worth checking whether the updated version launches before you finalise a booking since a slight price increase is likely once these updates arrive but you’d also be buying into meaningfully newer cabin technology in return.
