Trump IRS Lawsuit Appeal: President Challenges Court's Order to Keep Probe Alive

Back in May, both sides reached an unusual settlement outside of court. Under that deal, the Justice Department, acting on behalf of the IRS, agreed to set up an “anti-weaponization fund” worth close to $1.8 billion. The money was meant to compensate people who said they were targeted for political reasons. The IRS also agreed to stop auditing Trump and his companies.
