Two weeks out, I realized I had a shin splint with a swollen tibialis. All I could do was rest, pray, and hope my body would let me toe the line. So call it a miracle, my coach’s blessings , my mother’s prayers, my husband’s love, or the quiet strength from my heavenly Dad — but somehow, even with a stomach bug -2 days prior to race and injuries, I made it to the finish,” she wrote on Instagram after becoming an Ironman.
