A video is going viral on social media, where a corporate employee and an influencer drew parallels between their respective professions. Hailing from Bengaluru, the women claimed that they both graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Christ University; however, the jobs both chose turned out to be the polar opposite of each other.
As per the video, the corporate employee allegedly works as an analyst in EY, has a “fixed salary” that she gets on a “fixed date”. She further claimed that her days are usually “very structured, planned and sorted”, whereas her leaves and even lunch breaks are “planned”. She also called her job a bit “stressful”, and ranted about the daily commute she does to reach her office. Amid it all, she hailed the comfort of having a “company-provided laptop, paid leaves, insurance, and gym membership”.
The influencer, on the other hand, stated that she has no “fixed income” and most of her earnings come after “2 to 3 follow-ups on e-mails”. She also complained a bit about often feeling “lonely” while working; however, the rest of her points were rather comforting- from having the freedom of choosing one’s own schedule, zero commute, and no need for any kind of permissions to no limited breaks and more.
The post immediately went viral, pulling all kinds of reactions. Most commented that the influencer’s life was “better”, while some claimed to be living both.
