The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Engineering Services (Main) Examination results. Candidates who appeared for the written exam on June 21 can check their qualifying status through the official website of UPSC: upsc.gov.in. The result PDF contains the roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the next round, i.e., Interview/ Personality Test.

Notably, the candidature of selected candidates is provisional and subject to their eligibility in all respects. They will be required to produce the original certificates/documents in support of their claims relating to age, educational qualifications, community, and benchmark disability (where applicable).

15-Day Window To Update Details, Upload Qualifying Proof to be Activated

Shortly after the UPSC ESE result 2026 declaration, a 15-day window will be opened to allow candidates to update their details and upload proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination at the specified module/portal. Failure to do so will lead to debarment from the Interview round, and the candidate’s candidature will be liable to be cancelled.

“In this period, all the candidates qualified for the Personality Test shall also be provided an option to update Correspondence/Postal Address, Higher Qualification, Achievement in different fields, Employment Details/Service Experience, Service Allocation, and Service Preferences. The details updated in this window will be treated as final, and no request for any change in these fields received through any other mode will be entertained,” the official notice states.

Notably, all candidates shortlisted for the personality test have to ‘mandatorily log in’ to the portal during this window, and update or re-confirm their details.

UPSC ESE 2026 Interview Schedule to be Announced Shortly

According to the official notice, the personality test schedule will be released in due course. The exact date of interview, however, will be intimated through an e-summon letter, which can be downloaded from upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.

“A Roll Number-wise Interview Schedule will also be made available on the Commission’s website,” the official notice states, adding that no request for change in the date and time of the Personality Test will be entertained under any circumstances.
