Assault Charges Against Chris Brown Dropped After Singer Pleads Guilty To Affray In London Nightclub Case

The latest update in the ongoing London nightclub case against R&B singer Chris Brown has seen a major update. On July 24, 2026, the singer pleaded guilty to affray after he is said to have viciously attacked a man, music producer Abe Diaw, in a nightclub three years ago. More serious charges of assault, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, and Brown carrying an offensive weapon, which was a bottle of tequila, have all been dropped. Brown denied those charges and will be sentenced later this year on October 26, 2026. He could face up to three years in jail.
