The round 2 of talks between the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and the Centre has ended. Meanwhile, the Cabinet has approved the bill related to paper leak at its meeting today. The CJP has said its protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar will continue until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Protesters are also demanding compensation for NEET paper leak suicide victims and withdrawal of FIRs against demonstrators.

Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk has ended his hunger strike after the government assured him that his demands would be met. He announced the end of his fast after Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh met him at the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram around Thursday midnight and conveyed the government’s assurances.

“Just now in the presence of Union Ministers JP Nadda, Dr Jitendra Singh and the senior leaders of Apex Body of Leh Ladakh, I finally broke my fast after 26 days,” Wangchuk said in a post on X.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted a video on social media saying a tough new laws was on its way. He said he head received the draft and it would discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet today.
