The Martian star Matt Damon has worked with Christopher Nolan thrice. On Interstellar, he had a supporting part as stranded astronaut Dr Mann, and he reunited with Nolan on the biopic Oppenheimer, where he played General Leslie Groves. After winning the Oscar, Nolan decided to cast Damon as his hero Odysseus.
