After a brief lull that left large parts of the country sweltering under hot and humid conditions, the southwest monsoon is set to make a strong comeback next week, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said. The revival is expected to begin over Northeast India before spreading across East, Central and North India, bringing widespread rain and thunderstorms.
