India VS England 2nd ODI Highlights: Chasing 234, England secured victory with 35 balls to spare, with Joe Root producing yet another masterclass. The veteran England batter made 99 runs and was left stranded one run short of his century. Gurnoor Brar took two wickets while Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, Prasidh Krishna, and Shivam Dube got one wicket each.

India were bowled out for just 233 on the board, with Jofra Archer (3-47) and Gus Atkinson (3-50) taking three wickets each while Saqib Mahood (2-52) got two wickets. Sam Curran and Will Jacks also got one wicket each. The Men in Blue suffered a major batting collapse as they lost the last seven wickets for 55 runs

Shubman Gill played a fluent knock (31 off 30) while Rohit Sharma struggled and made just 26 runs after facing 47 balls. Ishan Kishan’s struggles on the UL tour continued with an eight-ball one. Virat Kohli looked at his best and made his 132nd ODI fifty before being dismissed by Archer in uncharacteristic fashion after making a 66-ball 65. Shreyas Iyer played a fine knock and got a fifty in just 43 balls and fought alone around the batting collapse before Mahmood dismissed him after making 66 runs in 61 balls. India’s three all-rounders in Washington Sundar (2), Axar Patel (1), and Shivam Dube added only three runs. Jasprit Bumrah played an important cameo of 20 in 13 balls.

Earlier, England won the toss and chose to bowl. The hosts have made two changes with Gus Atkinson and Saqib Mahmood replacing Liam Dawson and Josh Tongue. India is without KL Rahul due to an illness. Ishan Kishan is playing in place of Rahul.
