A major uproar broke out at Government Senior Secondary School, Liwali, in the Bamanwas sub-division of Sawai Madhopur district when a senior teacher working at the school allegedly tried to force several girl students to strip.

It is reported that Rs 500 went missing from the classroom of senior teacher Saraswati Meena. After this, the teacher suspected the girl students and tried to make them remove their clothes. The teacher also threatened that any girl who did not remove her clothes would have to immediately pay Rs 500.

As soon as villagers got to know about the complaint, a large number of them gathered at the school and not only created a ruckus while raising slogans, but also staged a sit-in protest right at the school’s main gate. School students also joined the protest.

The villagers warned that the protest would continue until action was taken against the accused teacher. The matter was then reported to the Sawai Madhopur District Education Officer, who informed the Joint Director of School Education, Bharatpur.

Taking the complaint very seriously, he immediately suspended senior teacher Saraswati Meena with immediate effect.

It was also ordered that during her suspension period, her headquarters would be the Chief Block Education Officer, Rajakheda, District Dholpur. Additionally, orders were issued to investigate other teachers who were involved in the matter.
