The National Medical Commission (NMC) has proposed a fresh set of amendments to the regulations governing the establishment of new medical colleges and expansion of existing institutions. The draft regulations, published in the Gazette of India, seek to tighten infrastructure and financial requirements while streamlining the application process for medical institutions. The proposals are currently open for public consultation.
