Warning the internet against one of the most used forms of loans and payment methods- ‘Equated Monthly Installments’ (EMIs)- a man recently called them “traps” and suggested the internet- mostly young people- to not opt for such methods. The man further warned people against fulfilling their dreams through EMIs, stating that these traps can drain away one’s youth. “I know you might have dreams; I know your parents might have dreams. I know you want that house and that car, but if you use EMIs for these, these methods will snatch away your youth and your time,” the man said in his video.
The man further suggested that netizens choose “affordability” of “pride”.
“If you buy all these things through EMI, you will surely feel proud and special, even your parents and people around you will be happy; but after buying all that, you will start feeling suffocated because of all the pressure of maintaining your job. The suffocation will affect your personal and professional lives,” the man said further.
The man’s video immediately went viral, pulling mixed reactions. Some agreed with the man, while others called his advice “wrong”, and commented about using the “correct EMI plans”.
